Great Langdale Snow Marathon

I was intending to run the Great Langdale marathon route on Saturday.

It's a two lap course and my intention was to run the first lap anti clockwise then turn round and run the other way.

But the snow intervened and the question was - would I get out at all??

Well I did - and although only one lap the result was THIS!!

Click on THIS!! above to watch the Great Langdale full course as you will be unlikely ever to see it again.

The self-styled toughest road marathon in the world - in total snow cover conditions. And as I wasn't expecting it - all done in ordinary road shoes and socks.

Truly extraordinary!

Fantastic effort, energy cost was probably equal to full marathon distance if not more!
