Another quiet week on the running and training front. What with work, a wonderful wedding, and entering month 2 of house renovation with nothing but the kitchen and bedroom inhabitable - training of all kinds has had to take a back seat.
I'm a bit concerned that I'm going to be underprepared for Windermere on May 20th as more weekends away loom. And after that I have nothing planned which I have to sort out - I can't keep motivated for nearly a year with absolutely no events to go to.
I did manage around 20 miles today but very little during the week. And it hurt towards the end - a bit of cramping and leg tightening and slightly sore hips. Right calf cramping and sore hips always tell me when I'm struggling - they are my achilles heel. Oh - as well as my achilles heels!
But I have been working them hard in the gym so I reckon with a couple of weeks off gym work before the marathon I will be fine.
