Much better week achilles wise for no apparent reason, except perhaps this wonderful machine I've discovered at the gym and wasn't strong enough to use until late last week.
Back on the roads, 6 days out of 7, over half way today.
So will continue gradual rebuilding, baby steps, slow long distance, repeat days and get in the best shape I can. Will then just have to trust that I can run and recover during the event.
All my gym work whilst injured has left me very fit all round, but a bit heavy - need to drop half stone, but that should happen as I increase my mileage.
I'm quite enjoying the usual pain of pushing on through tired legs - much better than the pain of being injured! That's a bit weird I guess - on the psychiatrist's couch you go Mr Heaton ....!
