Have built back up to 20 plus miles off road, but still troubled with achilles.
Catch 22 really because if I rest altogether I might have a wonderful achilles but no fitness come May. It is quite simply a chronic thing that takes 3 months to recover - no short cuts possible and that's according to every physio consulted including the event physio who is a leading professional sports physio.
Have wondered whether to pull out, but decided I might as well turn up and see how I am on the day now. I certainly won't be overtrained!!
So if you can all direct and focus your power of thought at my right achilles .......!
